The annual 2025 Tour de France returns from 5 July to 27 July 2025. This will be the 115th edition of the world's most prestigious cycling race, hosted entirely in France. A total of 184 of the world’s top male cyclists will compete across 3,320 kilometers and 21 stages – including 7 flat stages, 6 hilly stages, and 6 mountain stages. Last year, the Tour de France reached more than 1 billion TV viewer hours across 190 countries. The relatively new all-female race, Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, will take place immediately after, from 26 July to 3 August 2025.

State-of-the-art technology innovation, high performance, and team spirit have always been at the heart of the Tour de France. The power of digital transformation in sport has turned a national obsession into a global phenomenon, impacting everything from broadcasting and digital infrastructure to logistics, fan engagement, and organizational excellence. In June 2025, Capgemini was announced as the official technology partner through 2029, succeeding NTT Data, who delivered exceptional work over the past decade in building what is widely considered the world's largest connected stadium.

The XV team wishes all teams the best of luck, including the three Australian cyclists competing: Kaden Groves (Team Alpecin-Deceuninck), Harry Sweeny (Team EF Education-EasyPost), and Ben O'Connor (Team Jayco AlUla), and looks forward to watching what comes next in the world of cycling innovation in 2025.

The start list for the 2025 Tour de France Femmes has not yet been released, but we’re excited to see which Australian riders will line up for the race when it gets underway later this month.
