Philanthropy

An important part of “Our Why” is to give back through philanthropic endeavours. The Founders of XV Capital are involved in various capacities with the following charities.

The Rugby Club Foundation

XV Capital Founder, Stirling Mortlock, was elected to the Board of The Rugby Club in September 2015 and appointed Treasurer in February 2018. As chairman of the Board’s Investment Committee, Stirling was integrally involved in formulating and implementing The Rugby Club Foundation’s investment strategy for their +$20m corpus, and in recruiting and engaging the Foundation’s current investment manager.

The NSW Positive Rugby Foundation

XV Capital Founder, James Godfrey started the NSW Positive Rugby Foundation in 2017, as the official charity and social impact program of NSW Rugby. Its vision is to utilise rugby’s unique values, qualities, and characteristics to make a positive difference to people and communities. James has been a member of the Advisory Board since inception and is very passionate about the programs funded that positively impact the NSW Rugby community.

The Friends of Gordon Foundation

XV Capital Founders, Stirling Mortlock and James Godfrey, met in 1997 while playing Rugby at premiership club Gordon located in Sydney’s north shore. They are proud supporters of the Friends of Gordon Foundation and provide advisory support when needed across the club.
